Green roofs in Oslo by 2030: Stakeholder workshop for co-creating a common understanding of green roofs’ impacts and relevance for the city / An online participatory workshop was conducted involving various stakeholders from the public, academic, and private sectors. Title: Exploring Methods for Developing Local Climate Zones to Support Climate Research / Meteorological and climate prediction models at the urban scale increasingly require more accurate and high-resolution data. The Local Climate Zone (LCZ) system is an initiative to standardize a classification scheme of the urban landscape, based mainly on the properties of surface structure (e.g., building, tree height, density) and surface cover (pervious vs. impervious).
The cartography of Local Climate Zones (LCZ) of Oslo has been published in the lcz-generator repository. Elaborated by Laurence Sigler and co-directed by Joan Gilabert and Gara Villalba
